Key Components of Our Lathe Machines
Bed : The bed forms the base or platform on which the different fixed and operational parts of the lathe are mounted. It supports the headstock and tailstock, providing a base for the movement of the carriage assembly, which carries the tool. Our beds are heavily ribbed in design and robust in structure, available in three models to align the components of the lathe.

Tailstock: The tailstock is a movable casting located opposite the headstock, used for machining operations such as drilling, reaming, and tapping.
Spindle: The spindle is a hollow horizontal axle with interior and exterior threads for mounting workpieces.
Saddle: The saddle is an H-shaped casting mounted on top of the lathe, providing support for the cross-slide and apron.
Carriage: Composed of the saddle and apron, the carriage mounts the cross slide.
Cross-Slide: The cross-slide is a flat piece that traverses across the bed at right angles.
Tool Post: The tool post is placed on top of the cross-slide and holds the cutting tool firm during operation.
Tool Rest: The tool rest is a horizontal area from which the spindle and tailstock operate, allowing hand tools to be braced against and levered into the workpiece for trimming or cutting.
